The largest of corporations - ex. Coca-Cola, have an enormous foothold in both government and modern life. 6 corporations own 1500 newspapers, 1100 magazines, 9000 radio stations, 1500 TV stations, and 2400 publishers. The threat lies within the amount of control any one company can have, and the effect to which they exert it onto other companies. Current conditions allow corporations to grow into monopolies, which is ultimately too much power for any group of people to hold. Corporations prevent the growth of small business, and profit maximization hurts general living conditions.
