Created as a result of recent Supreme Court decisions, Super PACs are being used as funnels through which corporations indirectly pour in exorbitant amounts of anonymous money to political campaigns. While they can't contribute directly to campaigns, they do have the power to make unlimited expenditures in support of a candidate. This goes directly against recent outcries to eliminate corruption and increase transparency in our government. I propose that Congress eliminate the Super PAC as the first step in a string of much-needed campaign finance reform laws. This string of reformations should result in full transparency and accountability of donors, including corporations, and a refurbishment of the FEC website to make campaign donations easily accessible and visible.
