Limit elected officials to a single term in office.

Created by R.K. on January 02, 2014

I believe that in order to create a more effective, organized, less corrupt, and more productive government, that single term limits should be set for all officials elected by the people. The lengthy stays current members of both the Senate and the House occupy are destructive to their intended purposes. By occupying their office the officials are more interested on getting re-elected than taking care of their duties. I believe it to be a dis-service to the people to allow these elected officials to make careers out of a civil service."A government by representatives elected by the people at short periods was our object, and our maxim... was, 'where annual election ends, tyranny begins;' nor have our departures from it been sanctioned by the happiness of their effects." --Thomas Jefferson
