Limit exorbitant collection fees added on to Education Debts! Stop preventing American students from getting ahead.

I recently have fallen on hard times like many other Americans. I fell behind on my tuition payments and my debt ended up at a collection agency. The collection agency took my $3400 debt and turned it into $5000 within a month of receiving the debt. How can we as American's trying to better ourselves and obtain higher education get ahead when fees such as this are added to student debt. A student already unable to pay is now penalized and put even more into debt. We bailed out companies like this, and this is the thanks we get? A $1600 'fee' is unacceptable and should not be legal. Please enact legislation that limits these ridiculous fees imposed on those already struggling just to get by. Make education obtainable in America. Our forefathers did not give their lives for this.
