We have so many young people (21>) that make mistakes that do no physical harm to anyone's person. I'm talking about NON-Violent crime. They go through the system, pay courts, lawyers, bonds co. & restitution to the victim. Once this is done & they stay out of trouble, they should be able to get their lives back. They can't qualify 4 the most menial jobs 4 the felony they committed years back shows on their record. No matter the skills or schooling they spend time & money on, the felony keeps them down. I ask that we look at clearing felonies from backgrd checks employers do after 5/10 yrs. Our justice system is intended to rehabilitate offenders, & if we do not allow these people who wish to improve themselves the opportunity to do so, then we have failed ourselves as well as society.
