Limit hospital costs based on market pricing of products

Created by I.H. on March 29, 2013

Hospitals are charging outrageous prices for products that are sold for much less on the free market. This practice inflates hospital bills. Some products are sold for 100 times the market price.

Patients can't really do a market analysis and choose which hospital they should go to based on the cost of medicine they don't even know they'll need or the type of beds in the hospital. This isn't a free market situation and shouldn't be treated like one.

Pass a law that restricts pricing on products used in hospitals, from gloves and beds to medicine, based on market pricing.

Reducing hospital costs will reduce insurance costs and help solve the real health care problem in this country
