Limit Medicare premium increase to the Cost of Living

Created by R.M. on December 01, 2012

Medicare premium increases far outstrip any Cost of Living increase in Social Security benefits for retired and disabled people. The premium increases usually seem to work out as at least half of the total COLA increase in benefits.

This year benefits will increase by 1.7%, while Medicare premiums and deductables witll increase by 5%, almost THREE times the COLA.

Medicare premium and deductables should be limited to the COLA.
