limit the NSA's power and ability to conduct mass surveillance upon anyone, especially the American masses.

We ask for the government to impose greater controls upon the NSA. We do realize that intelligence keeps the American population safe, so we ask for a compromise. Allow the NSA to operate, but limit them by the following guidelines:
Modify the Protect America Act to define "reasonably suspicious" clearly.
Cease surveillance upon anyone that isn't "reasonably suspicious."
Put into place systems that will prevent abuse and assure the American people that our information is safe in the government's hands.
Increase the transparency of the NSA's activities; declassify their documents under the FOIA.
Limit the PATRIOT Act by the same guidelines we defined as "suspicious" above.
By doing this, the US government will strengthen the base of our democracy and affirm the validity of our basic rights.
