Limit the number of consecutive terms for the members of the House of Representatives and the Senate.

Created by T.L. on November 12, 2012

To impose legislation that would limit the number of consecutive terms that can be held by members of the Senate and the House of Representatives.

This legislation should be similar to the type that limits the number of consecutive terms that may be held by one elected president to (2) terms of four years each. The number of consecutive terms to be determined by the voters(people).

This legislation is needed to provide a government 'for the people' and not one 'for the lobbyists'. I also believe the legislation would help reduce the 'lag' in our current government system. Politicians would be more likely to act on legislation rather than table it if they know their time is limited. More action, less gridlock. Fewer career seeking stalemates and more politicians of action.
