Limit the number of corporate businesses that can open their doors on Thanksgiving Evening.

Created by M.O. on November 07, 2014

Mr. President:

I am someone who will most likely be working into the evening on Thursday November 29th, 2014 if big corporations get their way. Unfortunately, I would prefer to be spending my Thanksgiving with my family and relatives. We usually don't sit down to eat until 3PM, and don't leave until 6-7PM, then have an hour commute home. Having to work at 6PM on Thanksgiving would put a hinder and burden into a holiday that is supported and welcomed throughout our country. That is why I am asking you to ask corporations to refrain from opening their doors until 12AM on Friday. We should be celebrating a feast that the founding pilgrims started, and that Abraham Lincoln approved of. Thanksgiving is for Giving thanks and being with family. I believe the sales can wait. Thank You.
