Limit the number of states in the Union to 50; eliminate/combine states if a new one joins.

This petition is meant to limit the number of states in the United States of America to 50. This means that is a new, 51st, state were to join the Union, two states would have to be combined to allow the new one to enter. There are several benefits. First: states' rights. Since combined states would have larger populations, they can have more influence.This also results in more income for individual states without needing to raise taxes. Next benefit: consolidation. If a new state would want to join the union, two states would have to be combined. This would make it more difficult for the new state to become a state, which is good because it keeps all 50 states close geographically. Third; the flag. 50 states is such a good number, and we do not have to redesign the flag.
