In 2012 Congress' approval rating was just 1 of 10.
The men and women in our Congress have failed us. They have lost touch with the real needs of the people they work for - you and I. This lackadaisical attitude is due to the massively extended period of time they are allowed to spend in their seats in either the Senate or House.
Currently, any one member of the Senate serve a six-year term and any one member of the House serve a two-year term; both are eligible to serve an indefinite amount of terms consecutively.
I propose allowing any one person to fulfill 2 four-year terms in Congress in his or her life time. This allows fresh, new minds to be brought in every four to eight years to help aid in the revitalization our country desperately needs.
