The U.S. Constitution limits the powers of the President without Congressional approval, and Congress cannot pass a bill to the president without a majority vote within the two branches.
However, the President is only limited to 8 years in office, where as a member of Congress has no such restrictions. 33 percent of the House, and 32 percent of the Senate have served 12 plus years, 12 of which having held the same seat for 30 plus years.
We need to fix maximum terms of what I would propose 2 for a senator, and 6 for a Rep. Old ways of thinking in Congress does not promote good Government policy in this new age.
With 33 Percent of the House being bogged down by "Old dogs" it is nearly impossible for the Balance of Power within the body of Congress to function efficiently, Thank you.
