Our government officials should be limited to the fair Median living wage of a middle class citizen. As a civil servant it is your duty as elected officials not to put yourselves above the citizens you serve. I propose that a pay cap be put in place that keeps our political figures from making 6 figure incomes from their positions so that their kept humble to the population that they are representing. Civil service shouldn't be a self rewarding system. If you "sit on your hands" and don't do your job you shouldn't be paid for that position either. The purpose of this petition is to put a cap on government wages and punish them financially for not doing their jobs.. They should also be subject to removal from those posts of honor for not doing their job by sequester and public vote.
