limit the pay of Congress members to no more than the median income for an American household.

Created by S.S. on June 06, 2013

Congressional pay far exceeds the median income of American households. Being an elected official no longer seems like a civil service populated by individuals seeking to improve the lives of Americans. Congress has become overrun with elitists who line their own pockets with taxpayer funds while neglecting the needs of working class Americans. By setting Congressional pay in relation to the median pay of American households, we can ensure the quality of life for members of Congress only increases when the quality of life has increased for all Americans.
