All citizens should have a right to trial by jury before any state or federal government entity can take private property in civil forfeiture cases. This would provide oversight of government by citizens in a currently corrupt system of law enforcement seizures rampant throughout the United States.
This decision was recently supported by the Supreme Court of Montana and should become the gold standard in a democratic society.
