Recent leaks of a classified government program called PRISM show that the organization has been collecting large sums of personal data through internet searches, and cloud storage & transfers of documents, pictures, audio, and video, unbeknownst to the creators of that data. The program’s authenticity –and its legality– have been confirmed by the President. The legality of the program is based on the Protect America Act of 2007, which made it possible for targets to be electronically surveilled without a warrant if they were "reasonably believed" to be foreign. This petition is for the reevaluation of the legality of this program’s data collection, specifically calling on the 4th amendment of the US Constitution: The right of the people to be secure against unreasonable search and seizure
