When installing software or signing up for a service, ever read the notice in which you must select "Agree or "Disagree?" Presently End User License Agreements (EULA) and Terms of Service (ToS) have too much power. They can override and circumvent various laws and even our civil rights.
for instance, If congress passes a law that balances the power between copyright owners and consumers, because of the unrestricted power of EULA's and ToS's, the copyright owner can modify their EULA or ToS to nullify that newly passed law. Some of these even forbid you from speaking negatively about the product which violates our freedom of speech.
I propose that EULA's and ToS's are forbidden from overriding and/or circumventing laws nor can they violate any of our civil rights.
