The current "system" of running presidential campaigns for 18 months is dividing the country. We feel it would be more reasonable to limit campaigns to 6 months. Prior to that - no TV, radio, mail or social media ads should be permitted. No rallies, speeches or fund raising should be allowed. 6 months is plenty of time for the citizens of this country to get to know and choose their candidate. The American public has been forced to endure seemingly endless months of negative campaigning for the last several elections and we believe this is creating and re-enforcing terrible division. Please consider passing legislation to limit presidential campaigns to help reunite the American people.
