Limit the salary of public servants!

The incentive to be elected should not be to get wealthy making hundreds of thousands of dollars to serve the public. Once public servants are no longer in office, they shouldn't get a free ride from taxpayers for the rest of their lives. They should be transitioned back to work like the rest of us. Limit their salary to one year after they serve to transition back to the private sector. Producing real value in the market should be the driving motivation, not sucking the life out of those of us who are. The President has power to lead by example, by limiting the duration and amount of salaries of its own people. They should also no longer receive automatic pay increases just like the rest of us.
