The purpose of this petition is to cap Super PAC funding to restore American's trust in the federal election process, and let individuals have their rightful say in elections. Currently, Super PACs may engage in unlimited political spending and can receive unlimited donations from individuals, corporations, and unions. This has led Americans to disconnect from elections because of a perceived level corruption with Super PACs and their unlimited amounts of money. Corporations, unions, and wealthy individuals should not be influencing elections more than the average American.
