We the people ask the federal government to Change an existing Administration policy:

Limit the terms for Congress members

Created by L.E. on November 10, 2016

Currently, Senators are allowed to serve an unlimited amount of six year terms and Representatives are allowed to serve unlimited two year terms. This has led to grid lock, filibusters, and low approval ratings of a Congress that was elected to represent the best interest of their constituents, and NOT the best interests for themselves and/or business associates.
When FDR was serving his fourth term as POTUS, Congress acted to set term limits on the presidency in order to make sure no one man had too much power for too long (among other various other reasons) and it's time for Congress to pass the same term limits on themselves. This will create a balance of power and remind those in Washington that they work for the free people that elected them and not the other way around.
