Apply term limits to Congress. In the same manner as applied to the Presidential position (limit 2 terms). This will do away with "professional" politicians who build their own power base for their own gain and who are not serving the people. Professional politicians become too comfortable in their position and become an “Elitist” group that feel they are untouchable. Congress was not intended to be a career by the Founding Fathers. Just as we limit the terms for the President of the U.S. so he doesn't become President for life through possible corruption, so it should be for Congress.
