Limit terms for House and Senate seats.

Created by A.H. on December 22, 2012

The power of this country has shifted to big business, i.e., banking, health insurance, NRA, etc. These are mega industries with monopolies in their fields and powerful lobbying efforts for more, more, more. Congressmen need these entities to fund reelections. If we had elected officials with term limits they would not have to deal with lobbying groups and could possibly work for their constituents and actually achieve progress on their behalf. Representation in Congress was not meant to be a lifelong career when the Founders devised our legislative system. Congressmen now get entrenched with big money backers and power the longer they "serve". The local citizen has very little chance of winning an election. We have term limits in city councils and the Presidency for good reason.
