limit the time for campaigning for any elected office to 6 or 9 months at the most.

Created by J.P. on November 21, 2012

Limit campaigning for any elected office to 6 or 9 months prior to the election date for that position.

People were sick of campaign and could have cause some to not vote.

The terrible waste of money on this last Presidential election was disgraceful. This money could have been put to much better use.

Also the waste of campaign volunteer's time. Time which could have been spent with family, taking courses to improve job skills ,or using their time to volunteer with agencies that help people. Example: Habitat, Food Banks, or helping in either hospitals or schools.

A candidate should be able to demonstrate their views on issues, show why they are the best (or better) candidate within a 6 or 9 month period. If not, then they probably are not the person for this office.
