Political office is a public service, not a profession.
Limiting politicians and support staff to a maximum of twelve years total in both the United States House of Representatives and United States Senate would safeguard the stability of Congress, while keeping "career politicians" from getting too comfortable with lobbyists and special interest groups.
Having congressmen and women that are in place for no longer than twelve years would ensure that our representatives stay privy to the needs of their constituents.
Placing term limits on our representatives would allow them to focus on doing good with their legislation, rather than just looking good for reelection.
