AN ACT TO BAN CERTAIN TRUCKS IN PARTICULAR HOURS OF THE DAY
SECTION 1. Short Title. - This Act shall be known as the "Truck Ban Act of 2014."
SECTION 2. Declaration of Policy. - It is hereby declared the policy of the State to ensure the smooth flow of traffic to facilitate the transport of passengers and cargo to their respective destinations and reduce carbon emissions.
Ban all vehicles with 3 or more axles on Freeways Express Ways, and single lane roads, from 8am to 9am and from 5pm to 6pm during the work week. This would certainly reduce the amount of traffic on freeways during peak commuting hours. It would also be prudent by limiting trucks to legally operate in the far right lane and enforce the law.
