Congressmen and women should have a mandatory retirement clause in order to keep government from getting bogged down in outdated ideologies that no longer serve the will of the people that it was meant to serve.
We have Senators and Representatives that don't seem to understand that the world is changing and that they need to change with it. Because of gerrymandering and the fact that they are able to serve until they are voted out, or retire, they end up in office into their twilight years and refuse to compromise for the betterment of the people.
The seat of the Presidency had term limits imposed so that the US would not resemble a Monarchy, yet our Congressmen and women resemble an Aristocracy.
Because the Presidency has term limits, Congress should have term limits.
