Limited edition Harambe bill in honor of Harambe as a fundraiser for gorillas

Created by M.I. on July 18, 2016

On May 28, 2016, Harambe the gorilla was killed in the Cincinnati Zoo after a 3 year old boy fell into an exhibit. Harambe was shot, since he was seen as a threat to the child's life. This petition was inspired by a different petition asking the government to make Harambe the face of the $50 bill. Instead, this petition proposes that Harambe would be the face of a limited edition $30 bill, which wouldn't be used as currency, but rather a keepsake for the donation. The $30 purchase fee of this keepsake would go to help out gorillas and potentially other zoo animals. For example, enforcing the fences at the gorilla enclosure at the Cincinnati Zoo and other zoos in order to make it more difficult to jump, so accidents like this can be prevented. If a 3 year old can jump it, so can you.
