Limiting food stamps to nutritious value to benefit taxpayers and recipients

Created by C.B. on October 11, 2016

Food stamps are highly abused daily with recipients purchasing food that are no such benefit to their families health and nutrition. This program is set up to help support lower income families that are unable to make ends meet, yet some are using food stamps to purchase foods with no nutrition value, such as chips, sodas, or snacks loaded with sugar. It is even heard you can purchase Starbucks with food stamps. To ensure our taxpayers money is in fact truly helping out recipients, food stamps purchases should be limited to food with nutritious value and spend this benefit wisely. Food stamps are a vital part of this country and it's truly aggravating watching someone who has assistance abuse their rights, when others who are not assisted don't have the resources to pay for unhealthy food.
