We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Limiting the Term of Members of Congress to Two Terms in Line with POTUS.

Created by F.K. on June 26, 2016

The Twenty-second Amendment (Amendment XXII) of the United States Constitution sets a term limit for election and overall time of service to the office of President of the United States. This limits the President to two terms (for POTUS 8 years) in office.

Recent experience has shown us that the real power of the US Government is in Congress and that corporate interests are making significant campaign contributions to Senators which may influence the way they vote on key issues.

This petition therefore seeks to ask the President to introduce a bill to Congress to limit the time of service of Members of Congress to a maximum of two terms in office, similar to that afforded to the President.

[Or by using whatever other means POTUS and VPOTUS see fit to achieve the same objective].
