link all land-grant public universities via high-speed rail.

Created by N.C. on September 23, 2011

In 1862 we had the foresight to create a network of colleges and universities and that decision has proven to be one of the best investments this country has made in the past 149 years. Now it's time to bring this network of public institutions into the 21st century and connect each and every one via high speed rail lines. Imagine, being able to take a course at any campus in the state, not just the one that you live closest, too.

Many land grant universities have rural campuses, in fact, most do. This a unique and innovative way to build the economic stability of rural communities; start with the outlying campuses and work in toward the urban infrastructure. We'd finally have a reliable and practical link between urban and rural communities and expand education opportunities.
