Many politicians resist passing any form of gun control. Some of them claim that having more guns in the public increases our safety. I say, force them live by their own rules.
If teachers and principals have to carry guns to protect their schools, then allow politicians to carry guns to protect their offices. If schools are safer allowing more guns, then the Capitol and state capitols are too. If our best line of defense as ordinary citizens is more guns, then it's the best line of defense for lawmakers too. If we're supposed to feel safer with the laws they pass on our behalf, then they should sleep soundly knowing there are no metal detectors separating them from their vision of an ideal world.
