This is a tough one. I really get tired of hearing, oh the government is trying to play us, they have so and so in their pockets because they are pushing this technology, blah, blah, blah. Some things that come to mind: climate change, energy crisis, immunizations (this has been a long standing battle of fact and fear), national security, agricultural policy, etc. Let's clear house and have an independent group not funded by the government discover why people still buy into all of the Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt stories. Let's get some science, hard facts. It really bothers me when I work for the government and people think I am "out to get them". I can't stand that. I'm not saying discourage free speech, just find facts to alleviate these uncertainties with independent scientific proof.
