As the real workhorse of the United States and the Congress, that requests them to sacrifice everything in the defense of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights for ALL Americans. The pay raises that the Congress feels are appropriate for themselves in the "part-time" job they do (part of the time) should also apply to the Soldiers of our great United States.
If it were not for the Professionalism, Duty, and Selfless Service asked of our Soldiers, there would be no Congress.
Furthermore, when Government shutdowns hinder and halt the Soldiers pay due to a lack of action from Congress or the President of the United States, ALL Government pay should be stopped starting from the top of the Chain of Command on down.
