The reason this petition is important is because if you think about it we have a bank that finances the country, yet we aren't clear on who is funding them. This information is very important for it could affect my views on the federal banking system all together. This is because even though the shareholders don't control the federal reserve directly, they definitely have a big impact on the decisions that they make since they can use there funding as leverage. With that said I believe it is vitally important to know who has a say in what my nations bank does and what the interests are of shareholders in a "non-profit" bank if they won't make money from their investment.
