We are over $16 trillion dollars in debt and we keep adding expensive programs to a budget which doesn't exist. This is criminal negligence in my opinion.
We need a balanced budget now which should include money to pay off our debts and save for national emergencies, and that is going to mean pain for everyone. Pain for the President, Senate and House because too many people in America don't realize how important it is to stay out of debt. Pain for the people because taxes will probably have to go up some, and many wasteful and other liked government programs will have to end. State governments will have to take over where appropriate and as they see fit. The federal government has been overstepping its bounds for too long and has been spending what it doesn't have for to long.
