We were promised, in no uncertain terms, that "Barack Obama will strengthen whistleblower laws to protect federal workers who expose waste, fraud, and abuse of authority in government."
Given that the US Government is pressuring basically the entire planet over Edward Snowden's asylum requests, and has DIRECTLY VIOLATED the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS (as agreed upon by the United Nations, full text here: http://www.un.org/en/documents/udhr/), which spells out the most basic of all human rights, regardless of personal/national status, etc., by intentionally interfering with his asylum requests, it would appear that the current Obama Administration is in direct conflict with the above explicit promise made by Obama regarding whistleblowers being PROTECTED, not villified.
