Loan forgiveness for all students, not just public service workers

Created by K.C. on March 30, 2014

Due to the increasing costs of obtaining a higher education the economy continues to suffer. Those of us coming out of school are having difficulty finding jobs much less paying 1000s of dollars in student loans. Citizens who are 20+ are the people who should be helping the economy get back on its feet, through purchasing houses, having children, etc. However, due to the burden of loans this is taking away from our potential to grow and save like previous generations did. We are no longer able to save for retirement much less buy the things we need for our families now. Enact a law that will assist ALL previous students pay back their loans, even if it means interest free! It is unjust to allow repayment per occupation versus focusing on the student population as a whole.
