lobby the cable companies to end the broadband gap to provide quality internet to all Americans.

Created by S.D. on February 03, 2014

The internet has become a necessary utility in the modern world. For example, many employers have gone to all internet based applications. Many of us get the majority of our news from internet outlets, the majority of our communication even goes over the internet through websites like Facebook and Twitter.

But for rural Americans, the internet is not only often a luxury, but is slowed down and overcharged as well as often having a data cap, a second class tier of service, simply because it is not profitable for the cable companies to provide internet for those areas.

We petition the White House to end the "Broadband Gap" and influence cable companies to start providing internet for all Americans, regardless of their address.
