In 2006, the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) demoted Pluto from being a planet to being a dwarf planet. A whole generation of would-be scientists are missing out on the classic mnemonic: "My Very Excellent Mother Just Served Us Nine Pizzas".
Today, Pluto has impressed us with her beauty and simplicity. Her sense of beating the odds. Not to mention the heart she has. In light of all this, Pluto should regain status as an "honorary planet".
