Lobby the U.N. to remove the ban on iron fertilization of the oceans, and continue the progress made in Paris.

Created by H.B. on December 23, 2015

Photosynthesis began 3.8bya, when Cyanobacteria caused a mass extinction of non-oxygen using organisms while transforming our atmosphere from CO2 to O. Ocean photosynthesis is the largest contributor to sequestering carbon from Earth's atmosphere, and seeding the oceans with iron filings will stimulate growth of the organisms, sequestering larger and larger amounts of carbon, while also producing oxygen. The U.N. ban on ocean dumping contains no provision for this extremely well understood process. Any unintended consequences that may arise are dwarfed by the unintended consequences of continuing to use a 19th century power source. Please take the lead on this issue, so that actual, substantive solutions can be implemented to slow the Earth's rate of warming. Thank you for your time.
