Elected members in Congress, the Senate, and the President him or herself should have their annual salaries tied to the National Average:

No more empty talk about the middle class. Now they're in it. It's no big secret that other investment opportunities, book deals, etc. lead to the real wealth accumulated by most of our public officials. Congress votes on its own raises. Somehow that spending vote never gets blocked by Republicans.
So, let's send a message to our leaders:
Talk is cheap. Work for your raises like the rest of us.
