We the undersigned do humbly petition the US Government to curtail the demonstrably negative effects of the massive lobbying industry.
For too long, policy creators and the corporations affected by said policy have enjoyed too close of contact. The rights and well-being of the majority of PEOPLE of the US have been repeatedly trampled to cater to individual/corporate interests.
For this reason, we ask that Congress ratify an Amendment to the Constitution in order to create a gulf of separation between regulated industries and the industry regulators: the United States Government.
We understand that this is a first step in a long process. However, as the American People, we are willing to do whatever it takes to make the place we live the place where we want to raise our children.
