After 50 years the ongoing U.S. policy against Cuba is a relic of a bygone era and is spectacularly out of place in today's world. Thus, the question becomes how useful it is for the U.S. to CONTINUE with this highly immature 'who will blink first'-type of political game only so that we can one day retroactively apply an 'official history' empty rhetorical spin of how we prevailed against an ideological foe?
As-is the embargo not only continues to hurt the people of Cuba, but also continues to preclude our own economic, democratic and political interests from competing there openly.
Therefore, we hope that you will bring at least one relation of the U.S. foreign policy into the 21st century, and at long last END ALL commercial, economic, and financial embargo against Cuba.
