This petition is to hopefully shine light on recent events. Officers need better training on how to handle certain situations. The best way to prevent future tragedies is teaching officers how to handle a variety of scenarios. Extensive training could range from how to approach a basic traffic stop to apprehending or detaining a suspect and more. Hindsight is 20/20, but when it comes to human lives this isn't good enough especially when they're being lost for something as simple as a traffic stop for a broken taillight.
