To look into American Telecommunications infrastructure regarding internet speeds lagging behind other countries.

Created by C.M. on January 21, 2014

Currently, many countries are far ahead of ours in Telecommunications infrastructure. There are several monopolies where Internet speed doesn't increase but the price does. There is no regulation on internet speed and where there is, there is far greater speed. As it stands, Google can equip customers with 1Gbps Fiber optic internet and other companies can do the same, but would like to milk customers of their last penny without providing greater service.

Korea for example, has 1Gbps Fiber connections due to regulation and infrastructure investment. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_in_South_Korea

Most Americans are unaware that there are far better connections. An investment in infrastructure and making sure said infrastructure is delivered would help out the economy greatly
