Since the U.S.government is liable for punitive and compensatory damages in regards to its participation in the North American Slave Trade. It would be beneficial for the Obama Administration to lead the way in restoring to the descendants what is rightfully owed them. It would also go along way towards soothing the abrasive and divisive nature of racial relations in this country. Economically they (the descendants) would have a more solid financial stake in the future monetary progress of America. In addition the intrinsic value of the ordinary Black American would be increased to acceptable levels. This would also restore America's moral integrity in the eyes of the world.
