There are 2 problems for cyclists in America:
1. Perceived as an obstruction in traffic, drivers will respond with dangerous rage.
2. The laws of most states are written as if cycling is like driving.
We ask the White House to make an effort to educate the public to the benefits to the individual and the community, of cycling, and how we are an asset, not a burden.
Further, suggest changes in laws to assure more safety for cyclists, and that will change the rules to make it more efficient and safe for the cyclist. i.e. Dealing with stop signs, right turns, and minimum distance between cars and riders.
Lastly, develop PSA's to encourage cycling, and inform the public of the benefits.
