look into establishing a national mental health hotline, similar to the national 911 emergency system

Created by D.C. on August 13, 2014

To petition the administration to look into establishing a national mental health line, similar to the national 911 emergency system, wherein an individual could call if they, or someone they knew, were experiencing issues with mental health, and seeking treatment. Staffed by individuals trained to assist with counseling, how and where to get treatment, and helping with cutting through the sometimes difficult and timely process of finding and obtaining services covered under individual insurance plans across the country. Mental health is something that affects every American family in one way or another, and we must do more to focus on helping those in need of services to treat these very real health issues that can largely go untreated.
